Michael H. Horwitz, DPM
Doctor Michael H. Horwitz was born in Creve Coeur, Missouri and lived there until moving to Tuscon, Arizona in 1980 to attend the University of Arizona. There he majored in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. In 1985, he moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he attended the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. After his residency training at Lincoln West Hospital, he returned to St. Louis where he practices today and lives with his wife Angela. He is certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Horwitz has served extensively as an attending to multiple surgical residency programs and as a Co-Director of the DePaul PSR 24 Residency Program were his contributions accounted for much of the podiatric surgical experience of the Residents.
Dr. Horwitz has been involved in music ever since he was a child. His first band formed in the sixth grade. During his education, creating music provided a release from the pressures of study and residency training. In 1995 he created a local CD release that sold over 2000 copies in local record stores donating all proceeds to a local Blue Cross Charity that provided medical care to the children of the working poor. For this effort, he was recognized in a nationally published children's text as an example of responsibility. In addition, he has created a record label for charity called Medicinal Music. He hopes to produce other projects for charity in the near future, including compilation CDs with other bands and is currently producing a gospel compilation which will benefit a local children's hospital. Dr. Horwitz is currently practicing at the Feet For Life Centers and Heel Pain Centers of St. Louis.
